Most research peptides ship as a lyophilized powder in a vial that you reconstitute yourself with bacteriostatic water, a syringe, and a dose calculator. We do the reconstitution and the calculation in a cGMP cleanroom, then seal the finished solution in a pre-filled cartridge that clicks into a reusable injector.

Description

MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid mitochondrial-derived peptide encoded in the 12S rRNA. Studied in published research for mitochondrial homeostasis and metabolic models.

Cartridge & Pen Specification

Aevum cartridges drop into the reusable Aevum pen. Each cartridge is metered into 240 increments. The pen dial advances one increment per click, so every60 clicks equals a quarter cartridge.

  • Load. Slide the cartridge into the pen barrel, screw on the cap, and prime with 2 clicks until a bead forms at the tip.
  • Meter. Turn the ring to the required increment count. The pen advances and clicks audibly per increment.
  • Store. Return the pen with cartridge to 2–8 °C between uses. Use the cartridge within 60 days of first pierce.

Storage & Handling
  • Unopened: refrigerate at 2–8 °C. Stable until the use-by date printed on the carton.
  • After first pierce: keep refrigerated at 2–8 °C and use within 60 days. Discard any cartridge past day 60 even if it looks unchanged.
  • Never freeze. Freeze-thaw cycles damage peptide structure irreversibly.
  • Protect from light. Store the cartridge in its foil sleeve when not loaded into the pen.
  • Travel: a cooler with a frozen gel pack (not in direct contact with the cartridge) keeps it safe for up to 24 hours.
Testing & Release

Every Aevum lot undergoes third-party HPLC and mass spectrometry analysis for identity and purity before release. Lots that fail specification are not released.

Each cartridge is marked with a unique lot identifier traceable to its release record.
